Woman and her dog fatally stabbed inside Atlanta park


A female and her doggy were being fatally stabbed inside a well known Atlanta park early Wednesday, law enforcement reported.

Katherine Janness, 40, and her doggy, Bowie, were observed at about 1 a.m. inside of Piedmont Park at 10th Road and Charles Allen Generate in the city’s Midtown community, according to law enforcement.

Before the discovery, Janness, who life around the park, experienced informed her devastated spouse that she was using their doggy for a fast stroll, the victim’s father-in-law informed Fox 5 Atlanta.

Police declared a $10,000 reward for facts regarding the slaying.

“It’s a grotesque scene,” Atlanta Law enforcement Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. advised the information outlet.

Police on Wednesday announced a $10,000 reward for details relating to the slaying and launched a image of Janness crossing a rainbow-painted crosswalk in the vicinity of the park.

Investigators are still operating to figure out if Janness was targeted or was the sufferer of a random act of violence.
