Woman accused of killing newborn, tossing body in the trash



An upstate New York female has been charged with murder for allegedly killing her newborn son by fracturing his skull shortly after giving birth at house — and then dumping his human body in a basement trash can, officers reported.

Andee Wright, 30, of Tonawanda, was charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the Oct. 5, 2020, incident, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Business office.

Wright was accused of hitting her son at least twice, fracturing his cranium, soon after offering birth in between 2:30 a.m. and 3:15 a.m., when by itself in her Eggert Highway house, officials said.

The mom was uncovered in healthcare distress later on that morning by her boyfriend, who called 911.

Authorities uncovered the system of the new child within a garbage can in the home’s basement.

The Erie County Professional medical Examiner’s Business office established that the child died from “blunt drive trauma focally penetrating trauma of the head.”

Wright was arraigned Tuesday on two felony counts of murder in the next diploma.

Erie County Choose Susan Eagan set bail at $75,000 just after the DA’s Place of work asked for that the defendant be held with no bail.  

If convicted, Wright faces a most of 25 many years to lifestyle in prison.
