Video of Hurricane Ida shows calm eye of the storm

Here’s a beautiful view of the serene weather conditions happening within the eye of ferocious Hurricane Ida.

The footage, which was taken by a Nationwide Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration P-3 aircraft, exhibits the tranquil ambiance inside the eye of the storm as it headed towards the coast of Louisiana on Sunday.

“Stunning online video taken from inside of the eye of #Ida this morning by the [National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service] Ocean Winds Research workforce,” the National Hurricane Center wrote on Twitter.

The storm, which is at the moment a Group 4 hurricane, has fast intensified. It is envisioned to landfall early Sunday afternoon.

As Ida barreled towards the Gulf Coastline, its best winds greater by 45 mph to 150 mph in five several hours, forecasters stated.
