UPS plans to buy same-day delivery company Roadie


United Parcel Support on Friday introduced strategies to buy Roadie, a crowd-sourced, very same-day supply firm whose main purchasers involve household advancement chain Home Depot.

The tie-up will come after key UPS retail prospects like Amazon, Walmart and Target created or acquired gig supply providers to offer fast area shipping of every thing from clean food to cumbersome home furnishings.

UPS and Roadie did not disclose economic conditions of the deal, which is scheduled to near in the fourth quarter.

Shares in UPS were up 1% to $191 in midday investing. Shares in rival FedEx had been down 1.2% to $257.99.
