UN to seek funds for ‘humanitarian catastrophe’ in Afghanistan

The United Nations chief is inquiring the entire world to help tackle a escalating humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

Congressional aides advised Reuters that the US Congress is probably to finance U.N. and other humanitarian aid, but there is nearly no opportunity it will specifically fund a new Taliban-led government.
