The Texas mother of a murdered 2-yr-old boy has been charged for ignoring warnings from her ex-lover, who has been accused of the killing, that he was abusing the tot — and desired to see him “culled,” according to court docket files.
Amber McDaniel, 31, was indicted by a grand jury last Thursday with baby endangerment and proof tampering tied to the October 2018 loss of life of her son, Jason Wilder McDaniel, in accordance to court docket data shared by KFDX.
The costs stemmed from a sequence of disturbing textual content and Facebook messages found when investigators unlocked the cell phone of James Staley, McDaniel’s ex-lover, who has been billed with murdering the toddler, who was sleeping more than in his house in Wichita Falls.
The messages — allegedly deleted by McDaniel — present that Staley had admitted to the mother that he experienced pushed her son’s face in a soiled diaper and repeatedly crushed him, charging paperwork display.
“Staley regularly communicated violence and hatred toward” the boy, such as “that he considered Jason Wilder McDaniel needed to be ‘culled,’” the paperwork stated.
He also “stated that he desired to and/or experienced placed” him “in a Tinderbox” — and just 10 days prior to the alleged murder explained that he hoped the toddler had “died from SIDS,” or unexpected toddler death syndrome.
“Despite the foregoing warnings,” McDaniel “continued to entrust” Staley to babysit her son, who also stayed at his dwelling “while she was asleep and/or drunk in the other place,” the documents say.
McDaniel experienced reported she found her son lifeless exterior his crib when remaining above at Staley’s household.
At the time, she was on a crack from the toddler’s dad — who has since reconciled with her and instructed KFDX that he is “still proper beside her” even immediately after the charges and specifics of the disturbing messages.
He insisted that his now-spouse — whom he appeared to have married in April 2019, immediately after their son’s death — was tricked by “a grasp manipulator” who McDaniel assumed was joking with the unwell messages.
