The Taliban has reportedly arrested a top cleric who had known as on the state to resist the militant group’s insurgency — sharing a photo of him blindfolded.
Maulvi Mohammad Sardar Zadran, the previous head of the Countrywide Council of Religious Scholars of Afghanistan, was photographed hunting forlorn as he sat on the floor with his hands clasped alongside one another and a strip of brown substance masking his eyes.
The clip was produced by the Taliban as evidence that it experienced arrested the outspoken cleric, in accordance to the Pajhwok Afghan Information agency.
Zadran had been a spiritual adviser to runaway President Ashraf Ghani and had named on Afghans to resist the Taliban as they rose to choose back the region, The Periods of London claimed.
His son Samiullah advised RFE/RL that his father was pressured from his dwelling in Khost and pushed absent by Taliban fighters on Sunday. There was no speedy word on the place he was staying held or if he was harmless.



The claimed screen of him blindfolded and arrested once more contradicts the Taliban’s assert that it desired peace and was offering an amnesty to anyone who had resisted or worked versus the group in the earlier.
