Probe underway after swastika found carved into State Dept. elevator

A swastika was observed carved into the wall of an elevator inside of the State Department’s primary headquarters in Washington, DC, on Monday, officers explained.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken condemned the hateful vandalism in a Tuesday message to office workforce and said the swastika has been taken out.

“As this painfully reminds us, antisemitism is not a relic of the earlier,” Blinken claimed in the concept.

“It’s still a drive in the planet, together with near to home. And it is abhorrent. It has no place in the United States, at the Point out Department, or any place else. And we will have to be relentless in standing up and rejecting it,” said Blinken.

Blinken, the stepson of a Holocaust survivor, claimed the incident is under investigation.
