Parents, sitter charged after 11-month-old Mercedes Lain found dead in Indiana woods


The mother and father and babysitter of an 11-thirty day period-old lady in Indiana have been charged after the child was uncovered dead in a wooded location.

Mercedes Lain was documented missing following being previous seen Saturday in Mishawaka with Justin Lee Miller, according to a Silver Inform issued by police.

On Wednesday, police made the grim discovery, and announced the arrest of Miller, and mom and dad Kenneth Lain and Tiffany Coburn, at a Thursday press convention released by The Goshen Information.

Lain, 41, and Coburn, 32, were charged with neglect of a dependent on Monday right after refusing to cooperate in the lookup for the toddler, even though Miller, 37, was charged with neglect of a dependent ensuing in loss of life, police stated.

Miller is a loved ones good friend who was watching the baby for many times.

“The search for Mercedes Lain, 11-months-outdated, ended at about 9:30 p.m. in a distant, obscure, densely forested spot,” Marshall County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Nelson Chipman stated.

“After many moments remaining interviewed, Justin Miller led investigators to this place in Stark County,” Chipman claimed.

It’s unclear how young Mercedes died.
