North Carolina county searching for dozens missing from Fred flooding



Dozens of people ended up missing in North Carolina after the county that was inundated with flooding rains from Tropical Depression Fred on Tuesday.

The article-tropical cyclone drenched the western mountainous location of the state, washing out bridges, swamping houses and igniting landslides.

Haywood County was particularly difficult-strike, and about 35 people there had been even now unaccounted for by late Wednesday, county officials said.

Ground, air, and water functions had been being used in lookup and rescue endeavours.
