NANTUCKET, Mass. — Many shark sightings in the vicinity of swimming shorelines prompted the closure of the complete south shore of Nantucket on Wednesday, officials said.
Nantucket Harbor Master Sheila Lucey reported there had been at the very least five shark sightings during the working day and all of them were fewer than 15 ft from the shore.
The beach locations closed Wednesday afternoon bundled Cisco Beach front, Surfside Seashore, Nobadeer Seashore, Miacomet Beach, and Medaket Beach.
