Louisiana man caught on camera faking being hit by Tesla


A Louisiana gentleman has been arrested for allegedly lying about being struck by a Tesla just after the vehicle’s 360-degree camera program recorded the total ordeal.

Arthur Bates, Jr., 47, allegedly explained to law enforcement he was hurt just after becoming strike by the reversing Tesla in the parking good deal of a hectic fuel station in Slidell, just exterior New Orleans, past Friday.

But online video of the incident filmed on the electric vehicle’s cameras confirm Bates faked his accidents, in accordance to law enforcement.

The ordeal unfolded when Bates called 911 to allege he was struggling from again, leg and neck injuries following currently being struck by the electrical auto.

The footage, which was introduced publicly by police, showed Bates throwing himself to the floor as the Tesla began reversing.

A particular person, thought to be the Tesla driver, could be viewed speaking to Bates right away soon after.

“When Slidell Law enforcement officers reviewed the Tesla’s online video footage, it became apparent that Bates was lying and staged the whole occasion,” police explained in a assertion.
