Kamala Harris laughs when asked about tragedy in Afghanistan


Vice President Kamala Harris is under fire after footage exhibits her laughing when questioned about the deadly chaos in Afghanistan.

The VP — closely criticized for her delay in addressing the disaster that started out after the US pulled out in spite of the Taliban’s resurgence — was previously grinning broadly when she approached reporters Friday.

“But right now there is no problem that our emphasis has to be on evacuating American citizens, Afghans who worked with us and vulnerable Afghans, such as women of all ages and little ones.”

The vice president’s recurring dismissals occur as she carries on to tank in polls. According to a Rasmussen Experiences survey released Thursday, 55 p.c of likely voters say the previous senator from California is either “not qualified” or “not at all qualified” to believe the obligations of the presidency.

The trip marks Harris’ second foreign trip in office — she frequented Guatemala and Mexico in June — and will be the initial time a U.S. vice president has visited Vietnam.
