Joe Biden lays wreath in Shanksville on 9/11 anniversary


President Biden laid a wreath at the Flight 93 National Memorial Saturday following paying the the morning at the Ground Zero ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

He praised the United Airlines Flight 93 travellers who fought the terrorists prior to the crash. “It’s just one matter to say, ‘I know I should really move up,’” the president explained. “It’s a further matter to do it. That is authentic heroism.”

Biden also praised previous President George W. Bush’s speech, which harkened back to the unity Americans shown in the times and weeks immediately after 9/11, and warned of the divisions that roil the nation today.
