Image shows crying baby being given to a US soldier in Kabul

An extraordinary picture exhibits the heartbreaking moment a wailing child was handed more than to an American soldier at the Kabul airport, where by determined Afghans have been attempting to flee from the Taliban-managed country.

The soldier plucked the little one, reported to be a female, around barbed wire in the course of the chaos at Hamid Karzai International Airport, the place family members had been attacked by the extremists as they sought to make their way to the airfield, The Sunlight reported.

“The mothers were determined, they ended up having overwhelmed by the Taliban. They shouted, ‘Save my newborn!’ and threw the toddlers at us. Some of the babies fell on the barbed wire,” a British officer told the UK’s Independent.

“It was awful what transpired. By the stop of the night, there was not one male among the us who was not crying,” he added.

The nonprofit group Increase to Peace posted a sequence of video clips of the pandemonium before this week — a mass of anguished civilians outside the airport in which some men and women waved passports and other identification files.

Other harrowing photos have revealed men and women handing their youngsters in excess of partitions to troopers.
