COVID outbreak shutters entire police department in Illinois


A COVID-19 outbreak has contaminated every member of a southwest Illinois law enforcement section, the town’s mayor mentioned.

All three cops and the main of law enforcement in Venice, a town of 2,100 exterior St. Louis, have contracted the bug, forcing the office to shut down as they complete obligatory 10-working day quarantines, Mayor Tyrone Echols instructed the Belleville Information-Democrat Thursday.

“I feel it’s all people other than for quite possibly two dispatchers,” Echols reported of the department’s impacted workers, which includes Law enforcement Chief Theo Adams.
