Black woman accused of posing as KKK rep, threatening neighbors

A black girl was arrested in Ga just after allegedly posing as a member of the Ku Klux Klan and inserting racially billed messages in her neighbors’ mailboxes, threatening to melt away down their houses and kill them, according to law enforcement.

Terresha Lucas, 30, of the Atlanta suburb of Douglasville, was billed with 8 counts of producing terroristic threats soon after leaving violent, hateful notes in which she claimed to be a white member of the hate group, with a prolonged purple beard who did not reside in the neighborhood, the Douglasville Law enforcement Section stated.

On Dec. 21, 2020, two houses on the very same avenue in the Brookmont subdivision received notes in their mailboxes that had been racially inspired.

“The letter is working with the N-word, talking about the KKK, hanging individuals, killing little ones, killing full households, and placing houses on fire,” a worried father who been given a letter explained to community information.

“The notes threatened to melt away their homes down and get rid of them and explained that they didn’t belong in the community,” DPD detective Nathan Shumaker confirmed in a assertion last 7 days.

Related notes — all still left in the middle of the night — were being observed in the residents’ mailboxes on Feb. 17, Feb. 22, March 1 and March 3, police reported. At minimum 7 black citizens noted receiving these notes, but police believe that there were being probably much more.

Detectives went door to door in the neighborhood examining doorbell and security cameras following the first notes were claimed. They walked all around the community distributing flyers trying to find any information, police said, but acquired no potential customers.

“By mid-March, we seriously didn’t have everything to go on,” Shumaker stated.

Right after a sixth month hiatus, the final note was put on Sept. 6, police stated.

The case broke when evidence was identified linking the notes to the Lucas’ home. Law enforcement acquired a warrant and searched her house, which yielded evidence tying the suspect to the incidents, in accordance to Shumaker.

Lucas is anticipated to convert herself in later on this 7 days.
