Biden says US will stick to Aug. 31 Afghanistan deadline


President Biden on Tuesday instructed globe leaders that he has decided to adhere to an Aug. 31 deadline for removing all US troops from Afghanistan.

The final decision, which was described by the Connected Push, may strand US citizens and Afghans who served the US armed service following an announcement from the Taliban that the withdrawal day is non-negotiable.

Biden made the announcement during a morning movie conference with fellow G7 leaders.

About 5,200 US troops are in Kabul assisting with an airlift out of the Afghan cash following the Taliban’s capture of the metropolis last week.

Biden has pledged to evacuate all US citizens who want to depart, even though some are telling news outlets they cannot access the airport.
