Biden feared ‘Black Hawk Down’ tragedy in Afghanistan

President Biden was hesitant to permit the US armed service to rescue Us citizens outdoors the Kabul airport in Afghanistan because he feared a repeat of the “Black Hawk Down” tragedy that led to the fatalities of 18 American soldiers in Somalia, according to a report.

Biden, speaking to military commanders in Afghanistan final week, introduced up the 1993 attack in Mogadishu that downed two Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters by fighters faithful to Somali President Mohamed Farrah Aidid applying rocket-propelled grenades, the Related Press noted.
