Antony Blinken struggles to explain Biden’s statements on Afghanistan

Secretary of State Antony Blinken struggled on Sunday to clarify President Biden’s contradictory statements about Afghanistan, including the danger posed by al Qaeda and the help of America’s allies overseas. 

“Fox Information Sunday” host Chris Wallace grilled the US’s top diplomat on the president’s claim on Friday that the terror group was “gone” from Afghanistan.

Wallace then pointed out that the United Nations mentioned the terror group is existing in 15 of the 34 Afghanistan provinces and that Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Employees Mark Milley stated he would have to update the terror danger to the US from al Qaeda.
