American desperate to rescue ‘School of Rock’ girls from Afghanistan

Lanny Cordola has played guitar with associates of Guns N’ Roses, Lou Rawls, Macy Grey and the Seaside Boys. But his heart did not really sing until he ditched the star-studded career, moved to Kabul and started an Afghan-design and style College of Rock.

“I wanted the coolest, biggest rock band in the environment,” Cordola, 60, explained to The Put up. “But it would be centered about war-torn poverty stricken children.” It is the ultimate “School of Rock” working experience, he acknowledged, “with kids who have no concept what the ‘School of Rock’ is.”

Now, with his adopted metropolis on the precipice of catastrophe, Cordola is in a hurry to help you save his Miraculous Love Young children learners. “I have not slept for two weeks,” Cordola stated, calling from Islamabad, Pakistan. “I’ve been performing to get [my students] out of Afghanistan. I experience a sense of urgency. These women are in peril.”
