7 people today at a college in western Germany were poisoned by spiked drinks that turned some of their arms and ft blue — and prosecutors are now investigating the incident as tried murder.
The staff and students started experiencing health-related problems, such as discoloration on their arms and ft, soon after they all experienced foodstuff or a drink in a compact kitchen area at the Technical University in Darmstadt on Monday, the BBC documented.
6 of them have been taken to the medical center, such as one particular who was in significant issue.
In one of the structures on the campus, law enforcement uncovered foul-smelling milk cartons and h2o containers that appeared to have been contaminated with a hazardous substance.
Law enforcement have declined to discover the material, citing the ongoing investigation.
Prosecutor Robert Hartmann said Tuesday that officers have not tracked down a perpetrator but the poisoning appears to have been deliberate. No probable motive has been released.
Investigators have warned college students who consumed meals or beverages in the building to find health care cure if they “feel unwell or their extremities clearly show a bluish discoloration.”
