CO2 reduction: Policies and Technologies. Room: B

 

Alarming reputational disasters sometimes spur corporations into embracing the CSR agenda. Similarly, climate change might emerge as the global trigger for sustainable development. If so, the reduction of CO2 emissions will be the litmus test of how capable we are of finding political, financial and technological solutions to complex sustainability challenges. Is it possible to set a price for carbon? To what extent can new technology, including carbon capture and storage be a part of the solution?
